Hello The printer bed that I have on my SUMPOD basic is some sort of blck plate (no hot bed) that is held by some sort of clipper. It does not hold it very well and I have had to adjust it a little so that it is leved no matter where the printer head is.
So I was wondering if people could share pictures on how they have done their printer bed. Boris

Firstly. I never got such a plate with mine. The bulldog clips yes but not the plate.
The plate I use holds down well enough..barring crashes between nozzel and bed.
Next. Getting the bed level ( and flat).. Flat is part of the plate. .can't really fix that. To get my bed level.. Find a "feeler"...a piece of hard card or plastic About 1 mm thick.. Bring bed to about 5 mm off nozzel Move bed so that nozzel at back left.... put slip in way..bring up bed to touch slip to clean cold nozzel to just touch slip (slight drag can be felt when push pull slip) Note z co ord.. Lower bed...2mm.. Check all over bed...
From these co ords..z heights.. You can see how flat and level your bed is.. To fix mine ( simple "sag "at front)..I added packing to correct. Other printers include leveling adjusters..but its the same procedure.
Bring bed

Btw it is sometimes better for the build plate to breakfree rather than the nozzle assembly. ..

This is now all sorted, I have leveled the bed and covered it with painter mask tape. I am using the yellow one because we do not seam to have any blue one in France.

In particular look for wide tape...saves on frustration. ..

I went shopping today and I eventually found some stuff that look like blue painter tape so I will give it a try
