Looking at the Temp graph EX0 is showing up as approx 480 (which can't be correct as the hot end is cold to touch)?
First thought was a loose wire but everything looks in place and correct. Any suggestion?

First.. No display on lcd...you need to configure/ enable whichever panel you have...
As to min temp...well min temp is set usually to 5 C... And with no thermistor you typicaly get a temp of 0 ...this is a safety feature... Protection for the extruder.. .. But hold on..you have max temp... Again something is up with your thermistor connection. ..

Also check whichever thermistor you have...that in config.h the right type is selected...some types have very different calibration curves... First try disconnecting the thermistor....should read 0 degrees... And when connected..indicate about room temp...

480....sounds like a short.... I mean the thermistor is shorted some where... This low resistance. .is interpreted as a high temperature.

UPDATE: I opened Pronterface and connected. Then told it to move the +X a small amount. IT MOVED! Bad news, I now get the below error when trying to do anything : Extruder switched off. MAXTEMP triggered ! Error:Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart. (Temperature is reset. Set it after restarting) [ERROR] Error:Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart. (Temperature is reset. Set it after restarting) You should try Repetier host www.repetier.com/On the manual control tab you will be able to move your axis and turn on and off your extruder

Re repetier... I agree with the above... Unless you are already familiar with protenface...start with repetier... Neither will solve that error..its generated by marlin... You have a problem with the thermistor/connection

Tried connecting via repetier and I can manually move the controls, however for XYZ etc it simply moves all the rods down (not up or left/right) cant seem to move one on its own or up (just all 3 down)

Ok.
Marlin is doing all the cunning maths that converts a move in x, y, z..to moves on the three "legs" of you printer.
It needs to know that it is controlling that shape.
This you might ( if all works well) have done by using the config file from the delta folder.
..one thing not completly obvious ( unlike xyz machines) ..is an x move requires all motors to move in harmony. ..and a reversed motor ( say)..will spoil this.

Hi Jason, I got the rods moving now but only small amounts and sadly looks like one is bent can see it wobbling when it spins . I'm hoping Richard will upload the marlin firmware for the new "New Metal Frame SUMPOD Delta" (currently only got the old delta at sumpod.com/pages/assembly). Thierry, did you get yours working? If so, would you mind sharing your marlin setup or posting your configuration.h?

Hi Jon Thanks for the replies and the pics. I've actually got the earlier version of the Delta, which appears even more confusing I'm getting there. It's mostly built (at least to test) and I can get movement in Pronterface, though need to figure out how to set that up properly. I'm now trying to figure out how to mount the hotend! Cheers Dean
