Hi all. I've got the delta connected to pronterface and moving ok. The steps are set to 800/3 as advised by Richard. This moves half of the distance indicated. I've tried 1600/3 but the motors seem to bind. I don't understand why I'm using fractions instead of a decimal amount to be honest. Any ideas? Cheers

Sorted it. Ran it through a calculator, set it right and changed the speed. All good now

For further ref. Suspect you have 3 mm lead screws. And are "ment" to use ÷ 4 micro stepping..leading to 4*200/3..steps per mm

Hi Jason Yeah they're 3mm. Richard advised using 8 micro stepping, though I'm tempted with 4 to be honest. Homing the carriage moves really well, moving it manually seems a bit awkward though

R S says ÷ 8 and set 800/3..that might suggest 100 step/rev motor. .. Mmm..guess he knows what he supplied. .. The home vs jog thing...is feed rate... Home feedrate is preset in marlin.. The jog feedrate is probably not the same... Sorry don't have any idea what these setting to. For smooth operation. .. But try turning down the feed rate slider...until you get smother operation

Hi Jason RS? Richard? The only problem is that he may have the 2 Deltas using the same info. When I've done my own checks and measurements they don't compare to what's in his firmware or on the site.
