Richard,
I've been away from your forum for three months. Only to return to less information then before. Have you deleted posts? Why can't I login to the forum? What happen to all my earlier post?

my back ground with sumpod:
A company I work for bought the first gen sumpod. We paid extra for a fully assembled, out of the box working sumpod. It arrived 4 months late 60% assembled, missing parts, broken parts and not painted.
Sumpods response was we could not send a working machine do to import export costs.
Did we get any special help getting it going = NO Did we get a refund in the cost difference = NO After 2 months of trying to get it to work we had to set it aside and move on.

The machines design is good, but Richard is HORRIBLE with customer service. Maybe the worst ive ever dealt with. This was the reasoning behind creating the wiki and forum. Spread the word to other frustrated sumpod users that there are places they can go for info without their comments being deleted or censored

In response to your original question, he probably deleted your comments and user based on something that you said that he didnt like. He's done the same to me and many others.

Hello,
interesting topic.
To answer the comments.
Firstly I would like to say I am at the end of a phonecall and email. Unfortunately some decide to not use either and comment elsewhere. This is ok but problems could be resolved easily with a call or email. Some videos will be going up along with photos.
Secondly, I admit customer service isn't my strong point. I am trying to change.
Thirdly, Yes the delays are unfortunate for all but not planned and soon will be a thing of the past.
To answer the questions direct. The machines are very simple to build and use. There are a couple of modifications to the original nozzles to speed up the print rate outlined on the forum but on the whole there shouldn't be much difficulty in getting a result.
MIKEMAAT, I thank you for have made the WIKI and like that you have decided to make this forum. Its a shame that the delays happened with your order and unfortunate that you decided to do the things you did, but understandable. I bear no ill will but would like to say that most I speak to don't have a problem with me. Its the few who think they have the right to hurl threats and abuse that unfortunately I don't have time for. Maybe I should?
Again there are many ways I can be contacted, skype being a new one, so feel free.

Well Richard, since you rarely answer my emails, I would appreciate if you would answer my latest email from yesterday.. It is a fairly easy question and you are at the end of the email, right? I am tiered of waiting with out knowing, the delivery has taken way too long now.. And since you seem to read this forum I might as well try contacting you here. (I am not able to post anything on you own forum..)

In response to Richard (sumpod above), I created the wiki and the forum as a means for people to converse about the product. However, when he discovered that he was not able to control the information on it, he was the one who decided to "hurl threats" at me.
I fail to care anymore, but for the information of others, I am definitely not the only one who has experienced issues. I did not, and have not, ever made any threats toward him or his product. Your mileage may vary.

It is not only you who Richard is like that with, for every time I speak to him it is I who is accused of being threatening, in-spite of being as understanding as anyone can be. I am unsure as to how to proceed with this, as it has caused me undue stress and made something I was greatly looking froward to into something I no longer have the same buzz about. I guess after looking at the quality of prints on pancake.io/3e35fd/sumpod I think this may be a blessing in disguise, and time to look at another printer. Maybe www.bitsfrombytes.com/store/rapman-32-3d-printer-kit-extreme-nbhe . This at least is a reputable company, with a working dual extruder. As for Richard being at the end of a phone or email, that all depends on if he answers. I have been left in the dark for weeks after promised delivery dates with emails and calls unanswered. I find if you can borrow a friends phone that will normally get an answer.

Why, oh why didnt I read some of this stuff before I bought from this hapless idiot?
One lie after another, late delivery, missing parts - I'm now at the stage of court action - all I wanted was a printer!
How is the guy still in business?
Anyone that takes the time to read this before buying.... steer clear, the guy is a complete nightmare.

Just received my latest email from the hapless wonder... it would seem that despite most major parts missing - he is 'unable to help further' - think I may have upset him asking for what I paid for... how dare I!
Feels a bit like theft to me
The guy is a complete joke - saying he 'isnt very good at customer service' is no mitigation for his lies or couldnt-care-less attitude.
By the way as a point of interest, the invoice he provided makes no reference to his limited company, making him personally liable - if anyone else fanices taking him to task - legally

Yikes these posts are scary I have bought a Sumpod Basic as my first 3D printer, Im very excited to get into it all. I admit when my kit arrived I found the guidance from its construction very limited, I was only able to get so far with its construction and it sat idle for months.
Id sent Richard several emails asking for more instruction and a revise of the current instruction. It was through searching for such instructions that brought me to this forum.
I didnt give up with the emails and eventually Richard arranged a day to telephone me and to his credit he was able to give me guidance on some of the issues I was having. He is aware that the website lacks a little but on the phone he seemed sincere and helpful. And again he said if I was having any more problems do not hesitate to call, so I give him so slack he is trying. I hope that once I am able to complete my machine it will produce good piece and that I wont have wasted my money. If so I guess I will just have to sell it and spend a little more next time.

I ordered a sumpod aluminium in June and after loads of broken promises, unreturned emails, etc, a tracking number which remained at 'not yet collected' for weeks and weeks I read this forum and having found other people in the same boat thought I wouldn't ever actually get anything for my money.
HOWEVER. My unit arrived yesterday. I can't yet say if major parts are missing as I've not checked everything, but I do have motors, parts for the frame, funduino driver board, heated bed, rack and pinon stuff, lots and lots of wires, bolts, bits and bobs, etc, so looking hopeful.
I think he gets there in the end...
