Hi there I have just put together the Sumpod Aluminium, I like it! Since I didn't wanted to be dependent on Richards firmware updates I decided to go with the newest version of the Marlin firmware. It works very nice (after a lot of trail and error, I am a rookie in this area), but my problem is that scrolling in the menu on the display of the sumpod, does not work as well.. I have googled to find an answer and it seems like someone has fixed the problem like a year ago, but now with the new version I get the same error. The display (16x2) works fine and the rotary encoder works and is connected right. When I scroll in the menu it just jumps around to different submenus, no logic at all ;/ Have anyone experienced the same? or maybe has some suggestions?

It might be that your pins.h file needs to be configured to match where you have the click encoder connected to the board.

Have checked the pins and wiring a couple of time now without finding anything wrong. Although I tried measuring the voltage at the encoder, there is only ~4V, maybe the pullup resister on the arduino is not strong enough? Do you thing that could be it? and that I have to add an external pullup resistor?

I considered that you might have the click encoder wires connected wrong way round. If not, the click encoder maybe faulty. Internal pull-up resistor issues have not been commonly reported for click encoders as far as I know.
You might check that there's no continuity between the connection pins on the board and the connection pins on the click encoder connector to rule out shorting.
