Ok just read through "basic build manual ver 1.2"..cant remember where I got that from...not sumpod Any way..x axis motor is labelled as the one sticking up and its limit switch is rear between guide rails on top so that x carriage operates (PAGE 15/24)
Page 16 shows y motor under bed..and that axis limit switch labelled X but obviously that is Y . It then shows Z limit switch on the under side of frame traveling with the z motion.. Page 17 shows the z motor placement in the underside and the fan mounting rail
Page18 wiring. ..this page and rest of manual left blank..
I don't expect a ver 1.3 for the mdf sumpod..

I have built mine with wathever doc I could find on the forum here and there. Were they actually some documentation to build the printer? Still struggling with the firmware....

Yes the version 1 of the file in the link you had. Was available from dumpod..until recently..as was the firmware and stepper driver settings.. As far as I can see all gone now..so any one waiting for their mdf sumpod will need to get their copy of marlin from else where... Stunning after sales...

It has been nearly a year now since I got my printer and it still does not work. This is really frustrating because I have spent days trying to get it to work and I still strugling with the hotend which does not work . I tested 2 different one and I am trying a third one with a thermocouple (MAX6675) but I cannot get it to work correctly with the Marlin or Reptier firmare. As anybody tried to replace a thermistor with a MAX6675?

Well..the thermo couple thing. As far as I know both the ramps/arduino board and the marlin firmware are expecting some variant of therMISTOR .. Themo couples work very differently. And generally would need a different interface

The max is a thermo couple interface chip..which outputs serial data ...nor what marlin ecpects at all...unless you have modified that.

I have managed to get the thermocouple to work stand alone on the board (with some test code)and I have modified the pin.h for board 62 so that it knows where the thermocouple is connected. The problem is I get strange temperature so I was wondering if someone on this forum ever tried it? The hotend I have is quite nice and I would love to get it to work.

Well the calibration built into marlin would be unlikely to be correct for the max chip. The calibration curve is a set of constants determined by the THERMISTOR selected. You would need to rewrite the temperature read code to match your hardware... Fortunately it might be fixed by a new set of constants( create a new set to match your transducer)

In the configuration file I have selected #define TEMP_SENSOR_0 -2 which is the MAX6675 thermocouple
I have connected my thermocouple as follow CS to A0 SCK to D7 SO to D6
And in the code I have #define SCK_PIN 7 #define MISO_PIN 6 #define MOSI_PIN 5 #define MAX6675_SS 31
In the

I have now changed define from #define MAX6675_SS 31 to #define MAX6675_SS 4 and connected CS to it
I can now read the temperature but it does not want to go above 170C any idea?
