So it arrived, after having ordered in July 2012 and somewhat forgetting that I ordered after months on end of no product. It came it a box half the size it should in pieces to be assembled. I purchased a fully built unit . . . with the idea of owning a fully built printer to then build a second printer from scratch on and really learn what I was doing. Evidently I'm going to learn what to do on the first printer. I'll be building this thing and it will freaking work. I will also most likely buy an Afinia (closed source I know but their prints are the best out there) as a second machine. Just so you know, the Sumpod forums are still there, you just have to be sneaky getting into them - www.sumpodpro.com/forum/

I un-boxed and began building the frame last night. After completely un-boxing I discovered I did not have an Arduino or RS board. So basically I have no brains to run the machine. Oh me oh my, when it rains it pours. I reached out to Richard and he said they should be in there. I told him they weren't an he said he would send them to me. I asked for a date when they would arrive and did not receive one yet. I've got an afternoon long meeting today where I will go home and try to build more out. I am so lost on how the different pieces go together. No instructions, no materials list. s157.photobucket.com/user/Kahlid74/library/Sumpod

Thanks Kahlid74 for pointing us to the forum. A few months ago i had tried to log in and post and it would just not show my posting. Don't know if it will do it now or not

my brother ordered a alu offov Richard and he waited for way over a year getting more and more pissed. he's not the sort to mess about so he sent me over to collect the machine from Richard. To my surprise Richard in person is like a puppy - very keen bouncy sort. very clever really knows his stuff and unfortunately assumes everyone buying one of his kits is the same as him and knows electrical engineering. I've ended up with the alu and have just finished assembling it, Richard had done the most part of it thankfully. such a shame he's a clever sort of bloody fool really as I'd really like for him to have success. anyway, if you need any piccies of a Richard assembled unit let me know
