I'm struggling a little with the heated bed. What I have is a large metal plate that is obviously supposed to mount onto the 'arms' of the bed. I then have the red heated bed, and no way to join the two together.
Doing research, it looks like some people recommend getting a piece of cork to sit the heated bed on as a thermal insulator, but shouldn't there also be some way of adjusting the bed so that its perfectly level? Any recommendations about the best way of achieving this?
Thanks in advance.

[Edited to reduce photos the size of a planet to something more reasonable!] Apologies, not checked by for a while - been trying to get the firmware working on the Z axis... Yep, got a photo from a while back that better shows what I've got. This first one... ... shows the 'arms' (as I've called them). Obviously the bed is supposed to mount to these. Then this photo... ...shows the parts that I've got. The large sheet of metal does have countersunk holes which match up to the arms, but I can't believe that the heated bed is supposed to sit directly on top of this metal plate as it'd be heating up the whole plate. Also as I mentioned I presume there must be a way of adjusting the height of each corner of the heated bed to make it completely level

I use kapton tape to hold the heated bed to the plate and insulate it. The arm holes are threaded so I used longer m5 screws to adjust the height.

Mount the plate fix to the arms. Then mount the heated bed with springs and screws on the plate.
